New York Boho? Is that even a thing?
Many “design styles” come into being basically because it draws inspiration from a certain culture or time period. There are probably as many design styles as there are people. In design school, I was taught major architectural design and their correlating interior design periods that spanned from Prehistoric to Post-Modern. (Learn more about design styles here.) New York and Boho were never on the list. It does not mean that it’s not a style, just that there are no industry standards and, as such, can visually mean different things to different people. In such cases, the above bedroom may not feel New York or Boho to you at all. Learning to identify the design principles you do appreciate will go a lot farther in communicating your style.
