Geometry is a branch of mathematics that studies the measurement and relationships of points, lines, angles, surfaces, and solids. The word “geometric” is the adjective form of geometry. When used in Interior Design “geometric” refers to the use of simple shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, etc. Geometric shapes are used in all styles of Interior Design but are most easily recognized in Contemporary Design.
